Navali Pedites Corps
The Navali Pedites Corps serves both as the security force aboard Pikasistani fleets, as well as the first wave of Pikasistani invasion forces. It is a highly professional force trained to fight in a variety of environments, including close quarter combats and low/zero-g environments.
Navali Pedites:
Navali Pedites, colloquially know as Navalii or Marines are specialized infantry training to fight inside of various spacecrafts, assuring the security of the Pikasistani Imperial Armada's ships as well as various orbital and spacial infrastructures, but also to conduct boarding operations against enemy vessels. Trained to fight in the tight corridors of spacecrafts as well as the vacuum of space, the Marines are as disciplined as their ground counter-part, the Skitars, and still able to support landing operations on low-g planets and other celestial bodies. Although not part of any legislation, the vast majority of the Marines are spacers Equipment:
Despite filling similar roles than the Skitars, the Marines are equipped with very different war gear. The most notable difference being in armor, the Marines having the SM-47 space warfare armor equipped not only to protect the user from weapon fire, but from spatial radiations and vacuum environments. The armor also features rebreathers, magnetic boots and gloves, allowing for better autonomy and mobility. They also are equipped with the BX-97z high-powered rail-carbine, which is specially outfitted with anti-recoil mechanisms and two grappling hooks, one magnetic and the other penetrating. |

Herakles Heavy Exoskeleton:
The Herakles Heavy Skeleon represents one of the heaviest piece of military hardware available to the Marine Corps. Originating from the civilian sector as a mining exoskeleton, the Herakles saw its first usage as an improvised means of defence against the Mariel-Ragnar forces during the Aesir Wars and proved effective enough for it to be incorporated within the Pikasistani arsenal. Operated by one soldier, the Herakles mainly serve to breach poorly defended positions or to help in close quarter combats in orbital rings. While it is more suceptible to damage than regular vehicles, it is nonetheless a powerful tool against enemy infantry and light vehicles thanks to its heavy rail gattlings. It is also protected against missiles by two point defence lasers mounted on its shoulders, helping to protect its weak points and the pilot for anti-tank missiles and grenades. |
